I don't know about Australian certificates, but in UK if you applied for a copy of the birth certificate you would receive one with the ammendment written in full on the far right-hand side. |

Jodie ... a 'transcription' of birth cert will be cheaper than buying it .... i.e. 'Joy Murrin's Trannscription Services' will email copy for abt $19. |

Valerie'i went on the website and it does births up until 1911 and my pop was born 1914,but thanks for letting me know about the website i may order other family members certificates from there. |

The fellow mentioned above in Cupcake's second post died 5/12/1971 aged 74 years and is buried at Casino General Cemetery, 6362 Private, 19th Bttn. - husband of Mary and father of Eric and Raymond. Son of David and Mary, so probably isn't the same person. |
