I know that W J W Heel was born about 1851, i know not where
i know he married in 1871 i have the marriage cert
i know when he died
but i cannot find any trace of him in the census, or any other info
anyone have ideas where i might go next, the wall is getting a few dents as i bang my head against it !!!!!!

What did it give as his occupation?

Did it name his father and what was his occupation?

Have you searched all census and for variant spellings?

This is all very strange. I can't find Frank on any census either.

In the Leicester Chronicle 26 April 1895 there is an article re: William Heel, estate agent of Groby, who is sued for £1 16s by some workmen, being an underpayment of wages for some drainage work they had undertaken. Heel had disputed it claiming he had never agreed the extra they were claiming but the police court found against him.

(Haven't typed out whole article as there is more about turf and drainage than anything else).

This looks like your William although Im not too sure about the 1861 as I can see a family matching this one in 1871, so I dont think its your William
