I am trying to find Isabella Hare maiden name Foster (born Darlason 1840) and John Solomon Hare (born Tipton 1846). They were married in in Moxley Staffordshire in 1869.

They appear on the 1871 census living in Bailey Street Tipton Staffordshire. After this I can't find any trace.

Any help would be much appreciated

Hi Reggie

yes I'd considered it but haven't found anything to indicate it

Reggie Report 15 Jul 2012 12:29

How do you connect to them?

OldYorkshireBloke Report 15 Jul 2012 12:47

Hi Reggie

I am currently researching my mother's maternal line - Foster. Isabella Foster is one of her ancestors

Reggie Report 15 Jul 2012 12:49

So, if she is your mother's ancestor, one of her children must also be her ancestor.

Which child got you back to Isabella?

OldYorkshireBloke Report 15 Jul 2012 13:30

Hi Reggie

I traced her throug the foster Line she is the daughter of Squire Foster c1798 and Hanna Essex c1799

Ive just a had a llittle 'root' around. The only census that John shows up using the name Hare/Hares is the 1871, find that a bit odd

He's not showing on earlier censuses using that name, but there is a John Harris with the same parents, as per Anns post

Trouble is, there is also a John Harris baptism with the same parents name.....but he could be the same John Harris/Hare?

Nothing showing on the shipping records for either John or Isabella :-|

I dont suppose you know if John and Isabella had any little 'Hares', or when they died etc?

I'm probably talking #@###@@@@!!!!!

You need the birth certificate for John

England & Wales, FreeBMD Birth Index, 1837-1915
Name: John Hare
Date of Registration: Jul-Aug-Sep 1846
Registration district: Dudley
Inferred County: Staffordshire, Worcestershire
Volume: 18

You still need the birth certificate so that you can get his full date of birth, address and his parents names, plus his fathers occupation

I have a feeling his mom was Sarah Attwell, buts thats speculation!
