I think their surname has been mistranscribed and should be Ayres.

Isabella Eyres married 1875 in Dudley 6c 105 to Thomas Ward James.
1881/91 in kimberworth Yorkshire.Isabella's birth 1841 Darleston.

Thomas Ward James born 1842 in Nothamptonshire and he also married Comfort Russell in 1863
In 1871 Comfort James in Tipton D13. 26.she is not with husband and has Emma and Sarah daughters,strange her death is reg 1880 so did Thomas Ward James commit bigamy with Isabella.

You still need the birth certificate so that you can get his full date of birth, address and his parents names, plus his fathers occupation

I have a feeling his mom was Sarah Attwell, buts thats speculation!

I haven't found any record of children

Ive just a had a llittle 'root' around. The only census that John shows up using the name Hare/Hares is the 1871, find that a bit odd

He's not showing on earlier censuses using that name, but there is a John Harris with the same parents, as per Anns post

Trouble is, there is also a John Harris baptism with the same parents name.....but he could be the same John Harris/Hare?

Nothing showing on the shipping records for either John or Isabella :-|


I dont suppose you know if John and Isabella had any little 'Hares', or when they died etc?

I traced her throug the foster Line she is the daughter of Squire Foster c1798 and Hanna Essex c1799

So, if she is your mother's ancestor, one of her children must also be her ancestor.
