Thanks again, I believe my James has gone back to sea after the death of his wife. James i believe was also born at Whitby but around 1819 but just wanted to check these out |

It is a possibility and being married may be wrong as it should read widow unless he remarried after his wifes death in 1850 but he is also missing in the 1851 & 1871 census |

Sorry i should have said there were 2 James Drummonds born Whutby 1819 the one above married Ann Elder and lived in Whitby my James married in 1845 in Sunderland to Mary Greenwell but age at marriage was just stated as " full age"so i do not know for sure his age thats why i needed to check the 1811 & 1812 births |
