I have located a possible ancestor on a census return but I need to find a marriage record for her to confirm if she is related or not. 1881 census as follows: |

Yes that is the one I'm thinking it might be. She appears on the 1841 and 1851 census living with her parents. She has an illigitimate child in Mildenhall in 1857 but then disappears. I haven't found a burial or death record for her in Mildenhall. The illigitimate child lived with Ann's parents. Now it's possible she just died but she may well have got married too. |

Wow - that's great Christina - Ann Mortimer's father was Thomas Mortimer so that looks like her! So presumably Ann Mortimer married an Unknown Brindle before marrying John Knight. I will go check for that marriage now! |

Ancestry has the marriage certificate on their for that one - father listed as Thomas so it's definitely her. it also lists Francis Lewis as a witness which was her grandfather! Mystery solved - thanks for all your help! Now I can go search for extra information on them all. Never had any one born/lived/buried in India before! |
