Find Ancestors

Morning All,

Patcham, Alfred J Coles, who Lottie married was a travelling salesman.

That is all we know about him but it is really Lottie we want to wish to find with a parent.

There is a Lotty Mann born 1888 on 1901 and 1891 census returns but I know that the birth year is out some what. There seems to be a few Lottie Maney's in USA - perhaps she was married before?

Having had a dig around and getting nowhere fast.....................Im affraid, it boils down to certificates

Id advise your friend to buy the marriage certificate, to check her fathers name

Not sure she would have been married before the 'Coles' marriage, given she was born 1891c and there is nothing obvious on freebmd for a marriage

Thanks Gins I have told Jane she needs to get that cert.

She told me this morning that her sister seems to remember the Isle of Wight being mentioned, well thats Hants so maybe she did come from Hampshire?? who knows.

Will get on to her to buy the cert today if poss.

Hopefully she will not have under father Deceased and no name!!!!! :-|
