I don't know that.

I am working backwards on a particularly difficult part of my tree. My ancestor had a child named Sarah Ann Woods. She died in the 1880s. Having difficult finding this, I found the death in 1891 and wonder if they could be part of the same family. That is the reason why I asked for that.

Ok, my ancestor Florence May Woods (born November 22 1889 in Middlesbrough, Yorkshire), daughter of John Woods and Theresa Panton. I have information on Theresa Panton and her family, but looking specifically for a birth for John and for information on his family.

John Woods and Theresa married in Middlesbrough, Yorkshire 1877. His father was Robert Woods, a boiler maker.

John Woods was born c. 1854, but his place of birth changes. He and Theresa seem to have seperated by 1901, and he was imprisoned for an assault on her in 1895.

I do have other posts on here looking for him but they were fruitless, hence this start looking for his family and possible siblings etc. I can't even find a death for him.

Thank you - YES that is my family in 1881 but in 1891 John states he was born c. 1854 in Sunderland and in 1901, he states he was born in Middlesbrough (under John Wood with daughter Ellen Atkinson).

He was sent to prison in 1895 for assault and this is all I really know about him. Can you help further?!
