Hmmm interesting indeed, will have a look at ordering that in the next week or so.

You could well be right with that.

Thanks for your help

Mavis Report 18 Oct 2012 23:05

Well did Alice Lavinia White return to birth name Violet Alice White ???

Violet A Gullick 68y Jun Q 1953 Coventry 9c 684

seems to have lost 5y but that would depend on who reported the death knowing correct age
but she did return to Coventry where she married 1st !!!!!

she may well never have known who her father was. being young when family broke up

Mavis Report 18 Oct 2012 18:49

well fathers name the same for both marriages then -- back to the drawing board again

are they 1/2 sisters ????

still makes her born 1879

Never heard of a Boat maker Master -- Boat Master Builder or Master Boat Builder ???

Mavis Report 18 Oct 2012 16:11

may have sorted the child of Robert and Mary Ann White -- indexed as Allen Robert -
son but a daughter she is Violet Alice -- if you look closer -- born Jun Q 1879 Westminster.

1891 census Lingfield Surrey

Edmund Lone [Love] 28 Dairyman born London
Florence M Lone[Love] 22 ----- Oxfordshire Thackley
Violet A White 12 - visitor ----------------- London " Starch " Green ??

1901 still with Edmund Love who is a Wdr now --- in Lingfield
Violet White 22y - visitor [ long visit] ----- London

if Alice L was Violet A White -- still cant pinpoint her death as Gullick ???

Mavis Report 17 Oct 2012 22:13

that must have been a bit of an ordeal for all partys

look forward to hearing what the next marriage to John Gullick produces in the way of a father for Alice ??

Candidiasia Report 17 Oct 2012 21:34

I am now in possession of the divorce papers,

Petition filed 19 June 1933, Cause set down 10 August 1933, Decree Nisi 18 Nov 1933,yFinal Jun 1934

19 Jun 1933 petition for nultiy

Lacey orse White A L against Lacey N

Upon hearing the solicitor for the petitioner and reading the certificate of non appearance of the respondent.

Inspectors were appointed to examine the parts and organs of generation of Nicholas Lacey the Respondent. and also to examine the parts and organs of generation Alice Lavinia Lacey otherwise White the Petitioner.

It was decided the 13 November 1933 That the respondent be pronounced and declared and have been and to be absolutley null and void to all intents and purposes in the law whatsoever by reason of the incapacity of the respondent to consumate the marriage and the said petitioner

I have give a brief outline of what is on the papers.

Candidiasia Report 13 Oct 2012 14:52

Mmarriage for John Gullick is due to be dispatched on the 16!th

Mavis Report 13 Oct 2012 14:46

that came from Dover Express Friday 1st November 1929

Dont know what happened to the Robert and Mary Ann White after 1881 Census

as I cant read the names for the children after Lily Rosabel not sure who is who?

if Alice grew up without Robert as a father she may not have known who it was or perhaps Mother Mary Ann Keyton / Keeton took up with or married some one else-- As I said earlier I have only found Lily in Honiton Devon from the fact that she married there.

Candis have you got the Marriage for Alice to John Gullick yet ? you may have a different name for her death perhaps thats why we hav'nt found her birth yet -- she may have changed her christian name / names.

HeyJudeB4Beatles Report 13 Oct 2012 14:17

But if Alice is Lily's sister - how do they have different fathers?

Candidiasia Report 13 Oct 2012 13:54

How interesting how did you.manage to find that

Thank you Mavis

Mavis Report 13 Oct 2012 12:06

Candidiasia Report 9 Oct 2012 17:56

Divorce papers are due any day now.

Have ordered the MC for John Gullick and Lacey/White.

I was shown a piece of paper which looked like a burial record for an Violet Lavina Guliick 1887. George believes this is Alice?

Will post when I have details.

Many thanks

Mavis Report 8 Oct 2012 14:03

Have been trying to find Robert and Mary Ann White in 1891 census - no luck - chance they may have had an Alice born after June 1881 ??

Would some one else like to try ???

unable to work out the names of the 2 after Lily - not what they are indexed as.
the last one is Sarah Louise not Sarah Susan

I have found Lily White [ Lilly Rosabel ] in Devon but none of the others

Have worked out that Robert and Mary Ann are not married - I believe Mary Ann's surname was Keyton.
