Doreen....Its starting to get a bit complicated here...!!
The following corresponds with a **Jane McDonald** also has a Susannah...

1871 Census Bishop Auckland....

Household Gender Age Birthplace self
Michael Mcdonald M 45 Ireland
Susannah Mcdonald F 44 Ireland
daughter Ann Mcdonald F 19 Coniston, Lancashire
daughter Jane Mcdonald F 18 Cumberland
son John Mcdonald M 15 Cumberland
son Felix Mcdonald M 10 Leadgate, Durham
son Thomas Mcdonald M 4 Etherley, Durham
daughter Susannah Mcdonald F 8 Whitworth, Durham
granddaughter Jane Ward F 2 Etherley, Durham
** grandson James Keegan M 0 Etherley, Durham***

In all probability Jane has been listed under her maiden name on this Census but I cannot see original to clarify her status...

i have discovered an illegitimate birth, of peter keegan. the mother annie keegan gave birth in the workhouse , stockton, on 12 december 1894. no father listed.
Can anyone find a baptism for him?
I have only found him in the 1901 census as a child. i found a death for him in1972 aged 77.
