Why do you think there could be any connection?

Ramsbottom is a very common surname in that part of the world

I have just looked for GaulkThorn and its part of Oswaldtwistle.I am looking for any whose Ramsbottoms ancestors came from Huncoat/Padiham area.

BUT.............you should be working backwards..............cross-referencing and linking as you go

Does anyone have the following. I am trying to tie them together and add them to the rest of my Ramsbottoms. William Ramsbottom married a Betty Smalley in 1803 they had a son Richard born abt 1806 who in turn marred a Mary Harker one of sons is called James and another is called Smalley James in time married and calls one of his sons Smalley. Any help grateful.
