I want to apply for marriage cert and death cert in Vancouver Canada anyone got any address,s or possible web site that will help me --thank-you

BC is quite strict on it's release policy for certs but this is some info about it and includes a link to where you can get them from:

Annual Release Information

Data is supplied and released by the BC Vital Statistics Agency.

Birth registrations: 1854-1903 (next update January 2025)

On 4 June 2004, an amendment to the Vital Statistics Act (SBC 2004, c.55) extended future release dates for copies of birth records from 100 years to 120 years after the date of birth in order to enhance security around the release of birth information and ensure that the personal information and privacy of centenarians is protected.

Marriage registrations 1872-1936 (next update January 2013)

Death registrations 1872-1991 (next update January 2013)

As of March 2011, the online deaths registrations index no longer includes entries for deaths with an age designation of 0 or 1 and a date of 1911 or later. In addition to deaths after 1910 for individuals under one year of age, the 0 age designation will also include those for whom the age was unknown. Contact the Vital Statistics Agency if you cannot find an entry that may fall into this category.

I ordered a cert for a 1979 death a long while ago - when I get back I will try to find the paperwork I had at the time.

In the meanwhile - take a look at the two sites and if no-one has posted better info by the time I get back I will have a search.

Incidentally, most Vancouver deaths will be buried in Mountain View Cemetery.

That's the one I was looking for - I know I downloaded the death cert and printed it off.

I couldn't remember if I had to pay a small fee or not !!

Obviously it was FREE !

and..... yes - my relative WAS buried at Mountain View Cemetery.

We went to Vancouver a couple of years later and visited his grave - it is a really beautiful cemetery.
