Hi, Ive been looking through my threads of which Ive loads. Early on in Genes I just use to put 1871 census search or 1861 census search etc and now to find out who I was asking about I have to trawl through them all. Is there any way of adding the name to the title - ive tried but it only says preview or submit which I obviously dont want to do. Thanks |

Go to the very first post in your thread Marian and click on 'edit' - you can then amend the thread title !! - then click on submit. |

But doesnt this mean that it will be resubmitted because I wouldnt want members wasting their time looking up the info again. |

what i do, with my post. is to copy and paste them to a Microsoft office document , then save under a title of my accestor this allows me to work with them offline. to find them again i just have to look in my documents folder. they are then save alphabeticaly |

No - you won't be re-submitting. |

OOOhh - and when you have changed the heading and submitted, you can then add a message in the box at the bottom to say something like 'more help needed please' and submit. |
