Ive posted this separately because I had tacked it on the end of a sort of related thread for probate. There are two Jane Emerys on the above census born 1800. The one I want is in Stafford born Hornby Yorkshire not Stoke on Trent. She is married to Sampson Emery but he is at home and jane is not there with him. Thanks

I have found a Jane Appleby on the 1851 census on FMY as follows: Jane Appleby born 1806 aged 35 in the registration district/parish of Lichfield, County is Staffordshire. Jane born Hornby, Yorkshire. I think it may be the Jane Emery I am looking for as her sister Clara Appleby is also at Lichfield Staffs although Jane is not listed at the same address. The date of birth varies a bit but could someone please take a look at this census entry to confirm. Thank you. SORRY 1841 CENSUS. I'M MIXING MYSELF UP NOW

Something to remember when searching the 1841 census -

In the 1841 Census a policy of rounding down ages was in place. As such, people aged:

15-19 were recorded as 15
20-24 were recorded as 20
25-29 were recorded as 25
30-34 were recorded as 30
35-39 were recorded as 35...and so on
