I have just completed a document tracing the name SIDWAY in it's original form i.e. not counting such variations as Sidaway, Siddaway etc. and would be interested in sharing this information.

Of course the more information you give me the better.

I am more interested in the historical side of the name i.e. I am not seeking information about living relatives, cousins etc. but of course if you wish I may be able to find out more on that side for you.

I am not selling anything or scamming just a fellow researcher who is researching the name and I am listed with the Guild of One Name Studies.

It is an unfortunate feature of GR that no-one with your name will probably see this posting.


First, please remove your email address ............... this is NOT a safe site, and your email may well already be spread all over the internet.

For that very reason ............... GR does not allow it, and they will remove your post.



Second, may I suggest that you do what you want the long way ............. use Search Trees, and contact every member who has the name in their tree individually.

Thanks for your help guys, yes I started doing it the long way and thought forget that! So I will amend to remove my e mail. It is actually a 'spare' one I use in cases like this so that any spam or junk goes to that one and not my 'real' one.
