Reggie - I sometimes ask for help on here because I am struggling to find the relevent document source, even on the free websites. With so many similar names appearing in my family (which is a complicated family), often born in the same town with the same time frame, I post things on here to make them more clear not only for myself, but also for those willing to help. So with respect, there is sometimes a need to ask for info between those dates.

Use freebmd to find info about George's marriage.......no need to ask for any bmd info between 1837 and approx 1950

Alfred is a relation of mine through marriage but I beleive his family connect to mine further back in time. No, I don't know if he was alive in 1911.

Can you tell me, are there other Pattisons in Cockerton in 1871 - I have a newspaper report of a robbery there in 1870 in which a James Pattison was a victim. I imagine they are all related and they marry into my family ALSO called Pattison. I suspect they are distant cousins and I am trying to find a link (hence George's marriage).

And no, other than the 1871 I don't have Alfred.

Looking for Alfred Pattison, specifically in the 1911 census.

He was born c. 1871 in Cockerton, County Durham. This is all the info I have on him.

His father was George a tinner and his mother Ann. George was born c. 1833 in Leamside, County Durham and I am also looking for a marriage for him to Ann, so I can see her maiden name.
