Find Ancestors

trying to find a birth for mary prince(no middle name)
she married percy george garnham in 1941 surrey south east and i have found a death for her in 2000 north surrey
any help with her age would be great and many thanks in advance

I wondered if, perhaps she was previously married and Prince was not her maiden name but there are 2 Garnham births with mother's maiden name Prince on FreeBMD in 1942 and 1947.

How can you be certain she does not have a middle name ?

One of my distant relatives had Bismark as his middle name. Caused me no end of problems as could not find a marriage or a death.

A tree on Ancestry appeared with this person on it and it had original copy of his birth cert showing middle name but that had been crossed out.. Then went on to explain that he had been so unhappy with his middle name that he had crossed through it on the birth cert. Then married without using it.

Sometimes they swap names around and use the middle name.

I still think you need her marriage certificate to get her father's name. Then you can find who he married and match up her birth with mother's maiden name. There are 8 Mary Prince births in 1916 on FreeBMD.
