Was the England & Wales, National Probate Calendar (Index of Wills and Administrations for Robert Trickett --the right one for your Robert Trickett ?

If so I was just trying to say that the May Smith above had a sister Gertrude --who married a Bailey---and had children including a daughter Roma Annie Louise Bailey

If this May Smith is the May that married your Robert Trickett --then Roma would have been their niece. (and why she was granted probate to Roberts will )

You really do need May and Roberts marriage cert, to see their fathers names and occupations and also the wittness may give you another clue.

Not seeing Robert Pritchard anywhere but seems quite late in life to get married 1936 when his wife was born in 1883 - 53

Mark, he didn't leave his estate to her - the record just means that she was granted probate. You'd need to get his will to see who he left his estate to.

Looks like she was born surname Baily in 1909 Cheltenham and died surname Pella in Derbyshire. Perhaps a family friend?

Left his estate to Roma Annie Louise Clarke - married woman

Mark - have you looked on FreeBMD for possible children?
