George_of_Westbury Report 10 Nov 2012 18:01

Had a look, it doesn't appear his pension/service records have survived, the only thing i can see is his medal card, but these do not provide that sort of info.

British Army WWI Medal Rolls Index Cards, 1914-1920
about James Taylor
Name: James Taylor
Regiment or Corps: 1st Worcestershire Regiment, Northumberland Fusiliers, Cheshire Regiment
Regimental Number: 12508, 55131, 77515

KathleenBell Report 10 Nov 2012 18:05

Do you know his parent's names? If you have him on any census record with a place of birth then it may be possible to find his birth record. You would have to by his birth certificate to get an exact date of birth.
