Perhaps Annie was the name she was known by & she was actually called something else, such as Mary Anne.
My granĀ“s sister was baptised Ann Maria, but was always known as Annie, even on official documents.

yet it says on the marriage cert that annie was living there in 1902, also doesn't say that john was retired on cert yet it does on he census. if the death for mary is correct annie would have been less than a year old so they could have given her up to someone else a relative perhaps but can-not find any mention of her.

There is a Bristol Street in Bilston, no Kilcoynes living in it at all in 1901, but families frequently moved back then.

Hi Jackie.

You're welcome. I found it on FreeBMD. Did you not know about this child? I have continued to try to find Annie K in England using surname variants but no luck so far. It may be of course that she believed that she was born in Bilston but it actually wasn't true. It could be that Richard just put down the same area for quickness. Or maybe Annie had left something behind somewhere and didn't want to be traced, or lied about her name or her age. So it's really best to go for the marriage cert and hope for better details.

When you've got the marriage cert, post the details and we will all try and help again.

Jill

Added: I've looked and looked and can't find her. I'd be surprised if she wasn't born in Ireland
