This is my sister in laws grandfather, we found him on the 1901 and 1911 census
He was25 in 1923 when he married Edith May Biggs (she was born on 14 Feb) – she was 27 when they married

Who was his FATHER?

How do you know the exact address at which he was born?

My sister in law gave me the info, just checking where she got it from

Found out that she got the info from her Mum whom is the daughter of Harry James Davies.

Those service records I posted have the same address as the 1911 census that Dea posted, he listed as a 'Labourer' and NOK as Ada Davis - mother


What makes you say they are for an older man Reggie?

The service records show his birth year as c1896.........the info given by Carolyn says he was born in 1897/8.............possibly the birth I posted. But I did add a proviso to my statement when I made it

But..........it's all speculation until Carolyn gives more info

It seems this man is not related to her in any way..................so the person who is related needs to provide the FULL info from the marriage cert

The Suffolk death ties in with the late 1897 birth............

One would hope that his daughter would know when and where he died..........

I just took it be that he didnt know when he was born!


Maybe he lied about his age. If he was born in Sept 1897 and the document date is 7th May 1915, he wouldnt have been 18 until Sept 1915
