Hi guys,

Thank you for all your help and info on GA Cooke. I have most of the info already including a marriage certificate which just gives where the bride and groom were living, no clues to his birthplace. His army records do not show his birthplace either. I ordered the only birth certificate that I thought was a match but it turned out to be wrong, so I am stumped. I have also contacted the West Yorks Reg. museum but they do not hold any personal records. The only one that I have come close to is the Sheffield one 1911 census as suggested.

Regards,

Sue.

Dear Kath,

Thanks for your efforts to find George, but it is George Arthur not Alfred and I believe his father was Frederick William who was deceased on GA's marriage certificate in 1819 and that is all I know. But on the other hand these others could be relatives.

Sue.
