On the 1911 census shows Joseph and Selina Cove had 6 children only 3 had survived into adulthood tried looking for which children could have been there's but quite a few Cove children died in West Bromwich as infants so don't really want to go buying lots of certificates got a feeling twins that died 1879 could have been there's as lots of twins in family....just wondered if anyone had any suggestions on how to find their babies

When I look for the deaths of children I usually go to FreeBMD and highlight births and deaths together and then work my way through them - for example, there is this??????

Births Mar 1875 (>99%)
COVE William Edward W. Bromwich 6b 779

Births Jun 1878 (>99%)
Cove John Henry W. Bromwich 6b 844
Cove Lilly W. Bromwich 6b 844

Deaths Dec 1878 (>99%)
Cove William Edward 3 West Bromwich 6b 493

Deaths Sep 1879 (99%)
Cove John Henry 1 W. Bromwich 6b 358
Cove Lily 1 W. Bromwich 6b 360

Have you tried "Search all trees" under the Search button above?

You could enter the names of the children and if you find matches you could contact the tree owner to see if they know who the parents were??

There is another member who has Joseph Cove born 1843 in West Bromwich.

If you haven't already, you could contact them to see if you have a connection. If you have they might know about the children who died?

When you click on "find out more" you will get an automated message - just delete that and type your own.

That's what makes me think John Henry and Lily were theirs seeing as Joseph and John were also twins and throughout the generations there has been 11 sets of living twins sadly I misscarried mine the children must have been born and died between census as these 3 are only ones that show up on any of them might take pot luck and order the twins birth certificates

I would vote against the William Edward that Lynski posted - these events were rego'ed in the Oldbury subdistrict, not the West Bromwich South West subdistrict where we find them in 1881.

Don“t forget that handsworth (Birmingham) came under the West Bromwich registration district ubtil the early 20th century.
Might be worth looking for them there in the earlier censuses (Handsworth Staffordshire)
