Henry not born West Bromwich

1851

Joseph Cove 74 -,born West Bromwich
Sarah Cove 78 -,born Birmingham
Henry Cove 38 - born Westminster Middlesex
Mary Cove 39 ( Henry's wife ) - Clrabury, Montgomeryshire, Wales
Joseph Cove 7
Sarah Cove 4

Just wondering if Henry was adopted in view of couple's age

I can't see a birth in Birmingham on Familysearch, but as you have seen parish record I suppose that doesn't matter!
Have you tried checking parish records for St Philips 10 years either side of his birth? That is the only option I think, and quite a task.
It's quite possible they had no other children you know, or none which were born alive/survived very long.

I wonder if this is the person you mean? Not born Birmingham though as we can see in 1851 above.

How do you know the Henry born London was their son? Not a very common name but might be a totally different family.

Kazzie Report 16 Nov 2012 22:09

Hes with them on 1851 census and Joseph and Sarah listed as grandchildren not sure of the distance between Birmingham and West Bromwich but wondered why they married in Birmingham but baptisms take place West Brom

Kazzie

Kazzie Report 16 Nov 2012 22:13

Joseph was baptised 26 apr 1778 West Brom married in Birmingham and died 1854 West Brom his parents were Job Cove and Ann Sylvestor have other children for Job and Ann but never found any marriages which is a shame

brummiejan Report 16 Nov 2012 22:57

Birmingham and West Bromwich lie pretty close, so they wouldn't have had to move far! About 5 miles. Some of the districts at the time would have been closer than that I suspect.
