I hired the All Saints microfiche a few years back at our local latterday church and job was baptized 1740 and his mother was a sussannah Cove single woman who then married a Joseph Hare All saints in 1746 but nothing else regarding her

Birmingham and West Bromwich lie pretty close, so they wouldn't have had to move far! About 5 miles. Some of the districts at the time would have been closer than that I suspect.

Joseph was baptised 26 apr 1778 West Brom married in Birmingham and died 1854 West Brom his parents were Job Cove and Ann Sylvestor have other children for Job and Ann but never found any marriages which is a shame

Hes with them on 1851 census and Joseph and Sarah listed as grandchildren not sure of the distance between Birmingham and West Bromwich but wondered why they married in Birmingham but baptisms take place West Brom

How do you know the Henry born London was their son? Not a very common name but might be a totally different family.

Also never knew Mary Lockyer was born in Wales I have their son Josephs birth certificate for 1843 and same with them a few years before had children know they had Sarah 1847 and a possibility are Harriet 1848 and James 1840 but not been confirmed Harriet died 1838 as well but not sure about this James

Mmmm sem a hard lot to trace there are alot of Coves around the Bromwich area that havent been able to find a conection with also there is alot in London as well a bit weird why they went to London to have a chiold then return to Staffs maybe I didnt find it on family search like said was a few years since done any of this and being in Dorset isnt easy tracing family from up that way

I can't see a birth in Birmingham on Familysearch, but as you have seen parish record I suppose that doesn't matter!
Have you tried checking parish records for St Philips 10 years either side of his birth? That is the only option I think, and quite a task.
It's quite possible they had no other children you know, or none which were born alive/survived very long.

Found it on family search also going by parish records but sure once came across him on one census he was born London just getting back into this after a few years and wish now had kept all the info had found

Quite a few trees on Anst which all just have the one child listed ...but they could have all copied each other !
