Hello am trying to find a link to thomas guthrie brechin 1803. i have his 8 brothers and 4 sisters and parents David guthrie b1761 and Clemintina Cay b1764 trying to find info on his parents siblings have a possible sister of david guthrie as Isabella guthrie 1765 if you can help at all

Is the name Thomas Guthrie Brechin? Or is Brechin the place?

Edit: I guess Brechin is the place, in Angus, Scotland. A little punctuation wouldn't go amiss!

BIRTH AND EARLY YEARS

Thomas Guthrie, the twelfth child and the sixth son of
David Guthrie and Clementina Cay, was born in Brechin,
Forfarshire, 12th July 1803.

Both his parents were, to quote the old Scots phrase,
'by ordinar folk' — that is to say, they were possessed of
characteristics and qualities differentiating them from the
general run of their neighbours. His father, David
Guthrie, who at the time of his distinguished son's birth
was the leading merchant in Brechin and the Provost of
the burgh in addition, was a man of sincerely religious
principles, upright in business, exemplary in his family
relations, a model citizen, and a staunch friend. He was
elected a member of the Town Council when only twenty-
two years of age, and all his life remained one of the
pillars of the municipality — a position, curiously enough,
'inherited' by two of his sons, the elder brothers of the
subject of our sketch.

I am mostly trying to find any info on his father David Guthrie 1761-1824 who married Clemintina Cay 1764-1841 Have a possible sibling of David as Isabella Guthrie 1765?

There are several trees on Ancestry for this family and at least one tree lists 10 siblings for David including Isabella
David's parents are shown as John Guthrie b 1733 and Helen Wyllie b1736
