Hi there, I am at a lost.
Harry Chadwick, daughter was Doris Eliza taylor Chadwick married to James Thornley 1913 in New Zealand.
Have a ticket for Harry when he went to Australia in 1882. on the ship "Potosi" from London.
But not having much luck, Finding anything on the Marriage of Harry or his family.
Can anyone help please. :-(

Is this the ticket which lists him as born 1861?

That sounds like it. The ticket i have is not very clear. It is only a copy.

It says left the port of London{Gravesend} for Melbourne and Sydney, 7th day of October 1882.
There is no date of birth on the copy of the ticket. :-(

1881 census. The Taylor name appears to be his. I think these all carry the name Taylor as their second name. Doris in New Zealand was Doris Eliza Lydia Taylor Thornley.
He is mistranscribed as Fanny but it is Harry.

The name first appears on the NZ Electoral Rolls in 1911
He is married to Cordelia. Checking Trees the only information I can find is that she was Cordelia Boult born 1862 New Zealand. He drops off the Electoral Rolls in 1938 so he may well be yours.
