many thanks to everybody and we now have a better picture of possible links to G/F Charles George McCoy although it is only speculation that the 1881 census showing Anorah McCoy is actually his mother but seem about right.
We can estimate that her dob was 1839 although we can find no record that or her marriage to John so nothing on her unmarried name.
All we know of John is that he was a Bricklayer.
We do know that the wife of Charles George left him and set up with William Prescott but don't believe the census showing her as a boarder since all the children went to scholl using the name Prescott not McCoy.
So we do not know when the marriage of Anorah/John took place or anything about their families etc. etc.
If only we had Anorah's unmrried name we just might have had a break through.
Over time we have found more than 20 variations of the 5 letter surname and there are literally tens of thousnads of John McCoy/Mecoy/Macoy etc. etc.

Thank you all for so much information which has taken a while to digest.
To summarise... from Charles George McCoy who married Florence Elizabeth Hall to present times we now have that information ... thanks.
There seems to be no record of Charle's birth or baptism 1869/71 to confirm his parents names so supposition from his marriage or later census to give his dob was used and with no census record or death of father John at that time.
Before Charle's marriage there are only suppositions regarding his mother , or family stories of any siblings of Charles.
His parents are thought to be John McCoy and (perhaps) Anorah b. 1839 in London.
There is no record of their marriage that we can find so no detail of her unmarried name.... somewhere the name Anorah Pine appeared but from where? and cannot be refound.
Without the marriage date or other such information there is little chance of obtaining any documents.
A search through BMD shows no record of John/? marriage in any possible dates neither is there any record of the birth of Charles
It seems as he was created rarher than born.
thank you all
