Hello im trying to find the 1871-1881 census records for HANNAH WALLIS NEE STUBS she was born 1814 in Nafferton, Yorkshire. Her husband George Wallis died 1863 in Bridlington. The family seem to live in the Bridlington, Yorkshire area and they have the following children Sarah born 1835, William born 1836, Robert born 1839, George born 1843, Hannah born 1850 and Ann born 1853. |

Maybe you can't find Hannah because she remarried???? |

The other thing that makes me thing that is her is that on the 1861 census she is living at Garrison Street, Bridlington and the 1891 census she is stated as living at 6 Garrison Street, Bridlington??? |

The Hannah Poole in my 1871 census is also living 5 Garrison Street and is a Fishmonger's wife. |

There is nobody recorded at 6 Garrison St in 1881. The number is on the page but the line is blank. |

I just looked on BDM and there is no George Pool deaths in between 1871-1891 that could be her husband maybe she left him? |

As the (1871 census) Hannah is not noted as widowed, this may be her husband in 1871:- |

It probably depends on the website you use, but Ancestry can search by address in 1881. I just put 'Garrison' in the keywords. |

Wonder why they arent living together. On the 1871 census that you mention Hannah does state wife of a fishmonger so its very possible |

Could be that he was just visiting his family on the day of the census! |
