She could be Thomas's sister in law not daughter in law

Many thanks for help. If Mary is "Miner's wife" she must have married into David family so can only think there is a son that I have mislaid so will have to go digging to see if Thomas and Anne had another son. They married in 1821 in Llanelli so the son would have been quite young to have a two yr old plus twins. Thanks for your time and help.

Thomas is a miner. Might be 'n' when it comes to 'born in county?'

Mary David is shown as Miners wife

William and Elizabeth shown as 2 month old twins.

Margaret Rowland looks like Widow Lodger

Margaret Morris shown as FS

In case you didn't know FS usually means Female Servant

Yes that particular census says "Twins"
But not whose children they are.

Next to Mary aged 20 , it looks like "Miner's wife" Not born in County

As a special favour would someone look at 1841 Census - Piece 1421 Book 12 Folio 13 Page No. 17.

This is the William 2 mnths - I take it him and Elizabeth are twins. Do the Census say a relationship of William to Head of House please. Could they be Mary's children. They are not with Thomas and Anne on 1851 Census.
Trying to unravel this family I would not think there would be two Williams with same parents. Any help please.

Quite right Mike. I saw it as meant to be - relationship to head of household: grandmother. I was looking at the original when the penny dropped.

Mind you. Interesting to see the info against the ladies shown as widows.

Sarah - one child, one living, none died

I'm still trying to work out for certain that Margaret David is shown as grandmother. It looks like grandmother but in reading as it's presented Margaret age 92 is the grandmother of William age 70. Hmmmmmmm :-S

Added. Definitely grandmother to my eyes. Wonder if as William had reached the entries for his granddaughters, he was thinking about Margaret as their grandmother and not his mother and he put that down.

I saw the occupation on the records Mike found because I thought it must be brewery keeper so I looked at the original and transcript on GR. I'm going to check it out against the original but it does seem more accurate.

Occupation is not building keeper but Building Inspector for Swansea Corporation
