Hit another wall on my family tree im looking to find out more about

FRANCIS CHAPMAN BORN C1796 DURHAM MARRIED TO MARY ????

I have found them on the 1841 census although only Francis comes up he is living with his wife Mary and his daughter-in-law Agnes and their granddaughter Mary.

The baptism would be 6 years our from the date given on the 1841 census though?

Remember that ages were rounded down to the neareast 5 in 1841 so people could be up to 4 years older than stated.

Plus many couldn't count very well ... or sometimes lied !!

But saying that, you have a point.
There was more than one Francis Chapman born in Durham.
