Thank you Millymollyamanda this is my family I just have to sort out the puzzle.Charles (1797)was baptised Revell (no Allen)
Both Charles and John appear to be the same person,Both were born 1797 in St Martin in the Fields,both have wife Martha (1811) born in Hammersmith.Both have the same children.Just the occupation differs.
The children's baptisms show parents Charles and Martha.
In 1881 he was back to being called Revell.
Both Charles and Martha were Revell when they were buried.
This one will take some sorting out.

Hello
Please can you help me over another brick wall.
Martha Isabella Revell was baptised 18/11/1855 in Hammersmith,Middlesex.Her parents were Charles Revell born 1797 St Martins in the fields and Martha Revell née Slade born 1811 in Hammersmith.
Charles was a widower when he married Martha Slade in 1855,Occupation Valuer
There is also a record of Banns for a Charles Revell and a Martha Slade in 1835 which also says he is a widower.
Charles and Martha appear on the 1881 census living with their son Charles Arthur Revell and family.
In 1841 the census shows a Charles and Martha with three children,This Charles is also a Valuer.Their fist child was baptised Harriet in 1836;

The problem is that I can find no record Charles and Martha or their children in 1851/1861/1871.Martha Isabella before her marriage in 1872 is of most interest.
