You could send for his marriage certificate to Susannah, it would have his fathers name and occupation.

I am looking for any information on my Great Great grand father Evan Roberts I know he was born in Llanshainds Cardiganshire 1804 & was married Mary Morgan b. 1813 d.1843they had a son and three daughters. He then married Susannah Reed in 1843 and they had a son James who was my great grand father. I think he died about 1861 any information on date of birth and names of his parent would be gratefully appreciated
