Find Ancestors

Hi all

I am looking for any info on Thomas Webb he was born I think in Tadley as have found him on the Kingsclere site, he had six children that i have found so far, one being my ancestor......................

Thomas Webb born 1792 died 1878, he married a Mary Garrett b1797 - 1880, their son was ....................
Edmund Webb b1828 - 1901, he married a Sarah Humby b 1830


I have put this info so you will know you have the right family as there were a lot of Webb's in Tadley

Its Thomas Sr. I am trying to find info on I believe he might have married twice first to a Jane then to a Elizabeth Rolls ???

I have found Thomas Sr. on Ancestry.co.uk but can not get anymore on him

If any one could help me I would be delighted

I do not think the marriage to Elizabeth Rolls can be "your" Thomas as he married Mary Garrett in 1818 and the marriage for Thomas Webb wid to Elizabeth Rolls is in 1822 (at Southampton) while the children are being baptised until 1830 as "of Thomas and Mary"

Thanks so much for that link, I have saved it to look into later as there a lot of info on there, also I am begin to think Jane Camerst was not the mother, although on the Kingsclere site it does give a Jane as the mother but not her surname, will have to look into this one a bit more plus as he was from Tadley and marriage was in Binstead, Hampshire, may not be them

As you have both found out Thomas Webb born 1792 it gives his father as Thomas and Mother as Jane

You could be right as the Link safc gave me only gives four children so the first two may be from another wife

The info on his birth date was from the Kingsclere site and the only date they had was 1770 and did not have Thomas Sr, parents

Can you get the entry in the Binstead register checked ?

It may indicate where Thomas or Jane came from

I cannot find a baptism for a Jane Camersh or anything like it in the Hampshire Baptism Index

HRO will do it for a fee !!-at least you have the date which eliminates a search

I have found Jane's birth details on a tree on Ancestry.co.uk and it says birth 18th June 1770 Binsted, Hampshire, , England, this is on a tree who's owner I have been in touch with for a long time, I have also checked every where I know for her birth details
