As it looks like her mother was married, maybe her father brought her up

Thankyou so much for your help I have not been using genes reunited for along while so have forgot what to do I beleave a aunt might have brought her up

I would suggest grandparents or aunt/uncles raised her

but that will be difficult to find out until the 1921 census is released in 2021 ....... which will probably take until 2022 to appear on the internet becuase of the length of time needed to do the transcriptions.

It might be worth it to buy her marriage certificate, if you do not have it, to see who is mentioned on there .............. it might only be her father's name shown as deceased.

Have you tried looking in the newspapers around the time of her birth and parents' deaths, and when she got married to see if the local paper had any reports?

Adoption did not become a legal event until mid-1927, so there are very few records of adoptions before that date.
