Thanks for information, I have found him on 1881/1891 census and his death but am unable to find him prior to 1881, I was hoping someone would have him or his wife/children on their tree. A couple of years ago when I was a member of Genes, member Robert Mitchell contacted me but unfortunately I don't think he is now a member. Joyce

The 1891 census has him born in Germany, the 1881 in Bethnal Green

Has anyone got any information on the above, I know he was married to Mary Ann Wood, I have found him on the 1881 census but would like to know where in Germany he came from. Joyce
