I am trying to confirm the birth date of my husbands grandfather "john thomas moss "

A search on the new show him born in 1890 & 1895 . Have not been able to find on BDM . One serach shows him born in Wallendbeen in 1895 ? Can anyone confirm, is he on the electorol records . His wife is a Beatrice Amelia Hanchard if this helps. Certificates we have are vague on infomation . Many thanks in advance if anyone can help :-)

Wallendbeen is a small village located just 22km north of Cootamundra in the southern tablelands of NSW.

I'd say he is the first one - his death reg shows mother as Annie Elizabeth so could be Elizabeth Annie?

EDIT: No - the John T born 1887 Cowra to John & Elizabeth A died in the same year he was born...though odd that parents seem a good match.

I think this might be his parents still...maybe they had another son and gave him the same name...the area fits as John & Beatrice had a child who died in Carcoar in 1927, the same area that John & Elizabeth Annie were in by the late 1890s

I wonder if he is their son shown on BDM index as Thomas, born 1891 in Taralga NSW (reg 33905)? I can find no other matching death for him except the one as John Thomas in 1970...

I think John T snr died in 1908 in Wellington district (near Dubbo), son of John T & Christina (reg 3811).

John MOSS married Elizabeth A POTTER in Cowra in 1884 (reg 4313).

The death certificate for John T in 1908 may be worth getting thru a transcription agent, to get the list of his children. This should help work out if it is the right family.
