Would appreciate a search of 1841 Census for David David c. 1786-1788 Llanelly please.

Sylvia Report 2 Dec 2012 22:27

Thanks alviegal, The first couple John and Elizabeth are my 3xGrt Grandparents who married 1799 Llandarrog. I believe John must have died 1841/1851 (too many to find right one). David and Elizabeth are unknown so will have to find out more about them. If Elizabeth married 2nd time in her 70s then she was widowed again before 1861 Census as she is living with daughter without David. I do not think this is correct Elizabeth but thank you for your work. Will have to find out more.

Hi, I seem to have lost my 3xGrt Grandmother on 1851 Census.. Would sks look for Elizabeth David c1869 (birth yr alters every Census) I have her with husband John 1841 Census and she is with her daughter Margaret on 1861 Census. suspect husband John died btwn 1841/51 but would be bonus for searching for D/Cert if he is with her.
These names are so common they are a pain. Appreciate all help I can get. Thanks.
1841 Census at Mount Pleasant, Llanelly.
1861 Census at Bres Cottags, Greenfield Terr. Llanelly with daughter Margaret Howell and family.

Oh dear, Thanks Mike, Still confused. I thought Elizabeth was my 3xGrt Grandmother but not so if David her husband as mine was John. So many Elizabeth's but had a suspicion there may have been a David somewhere, being a family name. Will need more research on him. Many thanks.

Hi, thank you for further info. on Howells family. Waiting for D/Cert of Margaret's Mother (my connection). I have info on 1851 Census of Elizabeth David age 78 at Bres, Llanelly. This is from a Transcripted CD of 1851 Census which does not give full info. or relationships (hopeless).
With Elizabeth there is a Grandson (I know he is grandson by age) but my request is that there is another person David David age 63. Would someone kindly look him up and tell me who he is please, I have'nt a clue but must be a relation I should think.
Many thanks for any help anyone can give. Sylvia

Hi Sylvia

Well noticed about the widower bit on the 1861. I have checked it and it should read married. have done a correction.

Hi, Thank you for your thoughts, still wondering about children but notice you have Widower after Hector instead of Married on 1861 Census. It is possible for Margaret at age 48 to have Joseph but more likely a Grandson. Needs more investigating.
Thank you for your time and work. I have been able to send for D.Cert of 3xGrt Grandmother due to finding her with Margaret her daughter on 1861 Census. She died 1863 so that was a bonus. Many thanks.

It could be that Margaraet was married before with a son John.

I'm more dubious about son Joseph born 1856.

Can't see it being Margaret's son, she would have been nearly 50

Thanks alviegal, I don't think he is the one I am looking for. Trying to understand why two sons called John in same family. 1851 Census has Hector and Margaret Howell b.1808 Llanelly. John c.1837 and John c.1849. Have traced John 1849 on 1881 Census living in Llanelly with wife and family. Must be an explanation, both living 1851 Census. Thanks.
