Potty, do you have an approximate year of birth for your Flora please? There are quite a few Flora Mackenzies on Ancestry's immigration and travel lists. Perhaps we could look at some of the others for you if you know that your Flora emigrated.

The border crossing was a long shot - it came up in general Ancestry search, so I thought I would give it a go.

Flora was born in 1890 in Ross-shire, Scotland and was last heard of in 1930 in Edinburgh. I am doing this search for somebody else and have already traced back the wrong Flora. He has now found the correct one and we are trying to go forward.

This maybe is a long shot too.

1st one could be her -don't think the second is - wrong occupation.

If you think the first one could be her, her first arrival in Canada gives her father's name as David MacKenzie, 9 Orwell Terrace, Edinburgh. She's going to join friend Mrs. Janet Britton, 439 Jamieson Ave., Elmood, Winnipeg.

Got to be the same person as the second one that Rootgatherer posted going to her father's address.

That's interesting Margee. So both those are the same Flora (but knocked 3 years off her age in 1938). The same Edinburgh address for both of them - 9 Orwell Terrace.
