Sheila Report 29 Nov 2012 16:33

I am researching Mark Keatley b.1852 Great Packington, Warwickshire.

I have him on the 1891 census with wife Jane living in West Ham, London.
I cannot find a marriage entry for him with a possible Jane Bateman

On the 1901 and 1911 census he is alone but states that he is married. On the 1911 he says that has has been married 23 years and had three children.

Can ahyone help please?

The 1861 shows him with his family at Whitestitch.

192.com has four possible addresses when I Googled Whitestitch; all in Whitestitch Lane, Great Packington.

http://www.192.com/places/cv/cv7-7/cv7-7je/

Great Packington is worth a Google in its own right.

And probably no connection at all but interesting anyway I think http://www.cwgc.org/find-war-dead/casualty/530412/BARTON,%20H%20J

Son of John and Elizabeth Barton, of White Stitch, Meriden, Coventry. Native of Great Packington, Warwickshire.

And although there is quite a bit of info on the internet about GP, it isn't so far from me that I could go and take some photographs if you wanted.

Did you know that there is a Keatley's Pool in Great Packington?

http://www.geolocation.ws/v/W/File:Footpath%20by%20the%20pool%20-%20geograph.org.uk%20-%201058513.jpg/-/en

If you go to this next link it is about a proposed drilling site. Go all the way down to nearly the bottom page and there is a map. You can match it to Google Earth for the exact location. If you put Whitestitch Lane Great Packington, Keatley's Pool will show up but it seems to be hidden by trees. So use the map and you can see instantly where it is. The map will also help you to identify the correct dwelling.
