Ok. I will sort that out for him. That will confirm Beatrice's parents. |

Christina, I'd strongly recommend getting some certificates to ensure accuracy on the Humphries line. |

Thanks. I think I will try to trace the Humphries for him too. I only have John 1864(married to Susan Rumbold/Rumble) and maybe his parents,( John and Emma White married 1863 Wincanton) the dates seem to fit for them. |

I have just started to make a tree for him, but I think it will take me a while. I have emailed all this on to him. |

There only seems to be one Susan Rumble in Somerset according to the 1881 census so am hoping this next item is about her: |

Just spoken to Beatrices son, who is now in his 70's and he seems to recall the name Rumble from his youth! As you say it may have been misheard. |

In the Western Gazette of 1 October 1875 a Robert Rumble of Wincanton was fined 5s (inc costs) for not sending his children to school. (He was fined 2s 6d for the same thing in 1880) |

Normally we expect a marriage to be near the bride's birthplace but I wouldn't dismiss this for Susan's parents (would need further checking) |
