Find Ancestors

I'm trying to find info. about my grandmothers family. Marion Higson married my grandfather Thomas Higginson Lucas in 1908 and died a few months after giving birth to my dad William Higson Lucas in 1910. I am unable to trace back to her parents and or siblings. Any help would be appreciated.

Where did Marion die as not finding a death - only one in Hendon - which does not match on location for where the family are on 1911 census

They were married in Haslingden in Lancashire. I think she died in Blackpool but I cannot find a record.

Got a couple of problems

How do you know that Marion died shortly after the birth of William ?

Divorce was not easy to get so quite often couples split and they might say widow or widower on the census.

Do you have the marriage cert for her age and the name & occupation of her father if she knew him.

If her age matched with that possible death in Hendon then it might be worth getting that death cert.

One the image for Thomas Higginson Lucas has been written and then crossed out, married one year, one child born, one child still living none deceased.

My dads mother Marion died of cancer and dad and his father Thomas stayed with Thomas and Madge Richards for a year. Dad stayed and Thomas moved to Canada where his two brothers James and John went to homestead. Dad stayed with the Richards for two or three more years and then his grandparents took care of him until 1920 and his grandmother sent him to Canada to be with his father. I can't find a death certificate for Marion but I know she died shortly after dad was born. Thomas re-married in Canada and dad had 2 half-brothers and a half-sister.
