Nothing else coming up I'm afraid , but bear in mind a lot of records were destroyed by fire.

Just to add, GR do not have WW1 service records these are on Ancestry only.

WW2 service records are not online they are still held by the authorities, and only available to the person themselves if still living, or to NOK which has to be proven.

They cost to NOK is £30-00 but at the moment they are taking 9 months to get them.

I cant post the link to the site at the moment i seem to have a problem accessing it, but if you google " Veterans Agency" you should find all the info there, unless its the site thats down at the moment.

George

Edit this is the veterans agency link it might work for you.

70% of WW1 records were destroyed during WW2, as a result of enemy action, so if anyone finds a relative's WW1 records, they are very fortunate.

Those records are not, in any case, on GR

Thank you all very much I'm kind of new to this

Most of us only have the basic GR membership, so don't know what GR claims to have in the way of records.

BUT........nothing they have is exclusive - it all comes from other sites.

For the Battle of Waterloo, you're probably going to need to use the National Archives site................google for the link
