Shot in the dark!

I had a look on 1911 census and this one popped out as a possible:-

CHAPMAN, John Unmarried ? 24 1887 Cambridgeshire Cambridge VIEW

RG number: RG14 Piece: 34983 Reference: RG14PN34983 RD641 SD8 ED17 SN9999 Registration District: Sub District: Enumeration District: 17
Parish: Address: Peshawar N W F P India County: Overseas military

He is noted as being a Lance Corporal in the North Staffordshire Regiment!

This is the only birth I could see that is correct time in Cambridge:-
Births Dec 1888 (>99%)
CHAPMAN John Cambridge 3b 468

What you need is a copy of the marriage certificate.
Don't know exactly what info Irish certificates give but it should give you at least the couples ages which will give you their dates of birth.
It will probably also give you their father's names which should help find them in census records.
If Agnes had been married before and her father's name is noted then you will also have her maiden name.

Do you know anything else about the couple?
Did they live in Ireland or did they come back to Britain?
In which case, where did they settle?
When did they die?
If you can find a death record it should give you their age at the time of death which will help with a birth record.

I think he was born in Cambridgeshire but that is only family hear say. I know of this marriage my grandmother was born in 1919 dublin Evelyn Sophie chapman.
I would like to know more about this family. I have been told John Chapman died in Nottingham

Agnes mills married a John Chapman in south Dublin Ireland around 1918 he was a british solider need more information on them both. I think she was married before. can anyone help ;-)
