Find Ancestors

I am trying to find the birth of Muriel Roberts, who is the daughter of my grandmother's sister, Ida Leach who married George Roberts in 1933 in W. Derby. There are births for Muriel given in Liverpool and W. Derby but the mother's maiden name is not Leach. I don't know if Muriel has any other names and I've checked some but again, mother's maiden name not Leach. I know Muriel married some time in the 1950's - I have no idea who she married and there are several possibles in findmypast. Can anyone suggest how I might find her.

Hello Yvonne, is it possible that Ida had been previously married?

is there any chance Muriel was her middle name, but that she was known by it rather than her first name?

Possibly known as Muriel to distinguish her from her mother Ida, should this happen to be the correct record?

However I should stress this is guesswork based on location and the forename Ida, combined with Mother's maiden name Leach. We don't know if the 'M' stands for Muriel or not.

You might have to bite the bullet and risk buying the birth cert, but i appreciate that's expensive.

Wow, you guys are wonderful. Ida Leach was her mother so that is definitely the right birth. The marriage in 1958 is also probably the correct one. I was a little girl at that wedding so the timing is about right.
