Hi,

I am trying to find Francis & Hannah Smith from Bucklebury area of Berkshire on the 1841 Census for a friend.

Cannot seem to find them. Possible daughters may be with them - Mary Ann 1818, Harriet 1823, Sarah 1826 & Charlotte 1828.

Any help most welcome.

Marcus ;-)

Thanks Brummiejan,

I have 2 bapts for Francis Smith - Oct 1779 & June 1781. Different parents/families, but both in Bucklebury Parish.

Just couldn't find him on 1841 Census.

Thanks again,

Marcus

Thanks again Brummiejan.

Alas I have to pop out for a bit, so won't be online for a while.

Do keep looking - I do appreciate ALL your help.

Hi Marcus,
Don't forget that 1841 doesn't give the relationships of the household members, so the 1841 I posted may be him.
The Mary Ann with him is not necessarily his wife, it may be his sister, or sister in law or just a visitor, or even just a friend so I wouldn't dismiss it entirely.

Hi Catherine,

Thanks for your message, I do understand what you say about Mary Ann who may be just a visitor etc., it makes sense.

But because of what info I have already, I am unsure of it being the right entry. I am not dismissing it just yet.
