Hi Reggie,Yes, I have started a 14 day free trial with find my past but so far have not had any luck. Thomas James Wynne married Lily Lathan on the 15/11/1886 so would have been born about 1859-1860. We think he was born Thomas James Wharton and for some reason changed his name to Wynne although why we don't know. On his marriage certificate his father's name is James Wynne who is a labourer. On various census, some say that Lily is Wynne wife and also the children are Wynne son or daughter. It's all very strange. Kind Regards, Barbara |

It would have been better to have stuck to the original thread and asked there for this help, (having first unmarked the thread as answered) |

Thankyou everyone for all your help it was very useful. George, The timescale I am looking for is 1870-1920. The Person I am looking for is Thomas James Wharton (alias Wynne which is probably what any army records name will be in). He was in the 13th Hussars. Kind Regards, Barbara |
