Heidi is not a common name in the 1700s unless she was from Germany or Switzerland. What else do you know about her? How did you come across her name?

Try Search - Search all trees for Heidi Ford - there appear to be some duplicates but look for the ones that give a Heidi as contact. I'd try any that come up as Heidi Ford rather than Heidi Somethingelse first.

When you contact them by pm , DONT use the genes automated message, but put something like 'John Weston' in the header and replace the automated body of the message with your own message explaining what your interest/connection is.

A lot of us just ignore the automated messages.

Also, some people are no longer with Genes, but it's worth a go.

But try the email address on the web link Margee posted first as it might still be valid.

EDIT - it might be simpler to look up John Weston in 'search trees ' if you know his approx birth year and location details, and then contact any Heidi that has him in her tree.

Or have you already tried that and had no reply?
