Just going over the tree I've done for my Son in laws
and wondered if I (with help) could find anything more out

I Have jacob/Jack Belinsky married to Fanny Garber they had a son Asher 1929 Manchester
Emigrated to california in 1930
In my notes I have they changed their name to Jack & Fay Bell in 1940 ??

If anyone can find them after 1930
Did they have anymore children ??
Jack died in 1971 and Fanny in 1999 both in California

Thank you

Andrew

This free site has deaths in California:

http://vitals.rootsweb.ancestry.com/ca/death/search.cgi

This must be Arthur's death with mother's maiden name Garber:

BELL ARTHUR 06/01/1929 GARBER M REST (OTHER) LOS ANGELES(19) 04/18/1995 551-32-1839 65 yrs

Re change of name - original names sound Jewish perhaps ??

A lot of Jewish people changed their names around that time, for obvious reasons!

Right now, you can search (and get free images) for the 1940 census both on Ancestry and FS:
