Would some kind person please let me have the details of Thomas Herbertson Patterson, aged 39, from the 1911 census? Born in Haddington, Scotland, in 1911 he is in St. James, Westminster. I wonder what he was doing 'down south', and also if he was single? Thank you Beverley

Excellent thank you! Does the census say who all those other people were? Maybe other employees of the club he worked for?

Thanks, Amanda and Shirley. I can't see a birth for Catherine, I guess this could have been a second marriage for her. Maybe with Ida being her daughter.

The 1911 saya she was born Hampshire so perhaps this one if she was a bit economical with her age:
England & Wales, FreeBMD Birth Index, 1837-1915 Name: Catherine Dora Briscoe Date of Registration: Jul-Aug-Sep 1861 Registration district: Portsea Island Inferred County: Hampshire Volume: 2b Page: 394
Ties in better with the 1901 which has the same father details as on the marriage record.
